Every tile is a piece of pipe. Turn them until the whole board is joined into a single network with no loose ends and no loops. The board lights up from the middle as you connect it, so you can see progress as you work. Every board we serve has been checked by an independent solver: there is exactly one arrangement that works, so you are never guessing between two equally good answers.

How to play Pipes — the rules
- Goal: turn the tiles so that every pipe joins up into one single network — no loose ends sticking out, no closed loops.
- Tap or click a tile to rotate it a quarter turn clockwise.
- Tiles that are connected to the middle light up and get thicker, so you can watch the network grow.
- A pipe pointing off the edge of the board is always wrong — the network has to stay inside.
- There is exactly one correct arrangement, and it is provable by logic. No guessing.

What the badge means: before a board is served, an independent solver is given only the shapes — never our answer — and counts how many arrangements satisfy the rules. Only boards with exactly one are shown. So the solution you find is the solution.

What is the Pipes puzzle?
A grid of pipe pieces that have been rotated at random. Your job is to turn them back so every piece joins into one connected network, with no ends left dangling and no loops. It is also known as Net, NetWalk or FreeNet.
Is there always exactly one solution?
Yes. Each board is built as a spanning tree — one network that reaches every square without any loop — and then an independent solver is given only the tile shapes and counts the arrangements that satisfy the rules. Only boards with exactly one arrangement are served.
Why do some tiles not rotate?
A cross piece looks the same from all four sides, so turning it changes nothing. Those tiles are fixed. Straight pipes have only two distinct positions rather than four, for the same reason.
How do I know if I am on the right track?
Tiles connected to the centre are drawn thicker and brighter. As you connect more of the board the lit region grows, so you can see progress without being told the answer.
Is the daily board the same for everyone?
Yes. One board is generated each day from a public seed, and every player worldwide gets exactly the same one. It changes at midnight in your local time.
