Block Puzzle
Also known as block blast, wood block puzzle, block fill or the 8×8 block game.
Three blocks sit under the board. Drop them anywhere they fit; fill a whole row or column and it clears. There is no timer and nothing falls on its own — the game ends when none of your three blocks fits anywhere, so every placement is a decision about the space you leave behind. Today’s board deals the same pieces in the same order to every player in the world, so the average and the high score shown above the board are a fair comparison.

How to play Block Puzzle — the rules
- Goal: place blocks to fill whole rows and columns. Each cleared line scores, and clearing several at once scores far more.
- Drag a block from the tray onto the board, or tap it once and then tap the board — the square you tap becomes the block’s top-left corner.
- Blocks cannot be rotated and cannot overlap. What you see in the tray is what you place.
- You get three new blocks only after all three have been placed — never one at a time.
- The game ends when none of the blocks you are holding fits anywhere. Blocks with nowhere to go are dimmed, so you can see trouble coming.
Keyboard: 1, 2 and 3 pick a block, arrow keys move the cursor, Enter or Space places it.
What we do and do not claim: we do not claim every board can be cleared — this game has no guaranteed solution, and we will not pretend otherwise. What we do guarantee is the deal. New blocks arrive only when you have placed all three, never one at a time, so the number of draws never depends on where you put things. Everyone playing today’s board gets exactly the same pieces in exactly the same order, from a public seed. The only difference between two scores is how the pieces were placed.

What is Block Puzzle?
A grid you fill by dropping blocks of different shapes. Fill an entire row or column and it clears, making room for more. Nothing falls on its own and there is no clock — it ends when none of your three blocks fits. It is also known as block blast or wood block puzzle.
Does everyone get the same blocks?
On the daily board, yes — exactly the same pieces in exactly the same order, generated from a public seed. This works because new blocks arrive only when all three have been placed, so how you play never changes what you are dealt. That is what makes the average and high score a fair comparison.
Is every board winnable?
There is no such thing here. Unlike our logic puzzles, this game makes no solvability guarantee, and we do not show a verified badge on it. How long you last depends on how well you use the space, not on whether the board was checked in advance.
How is the score worked out?
Placing a block scores one point per square. Clearing lines scores ten points times the square of how many you clear at once — one line is 10, two at once is 40, three at once is 90. Setting up a multi-line clear is worth far more than clearing one at a time.
Which score gets counted?
Only your first game on each daily board. If we counted replays, anyone willing to grind the same board would drag the average upward and the comparison would stop meaning anything. Play the board again as often as you like — later attempts simply are not recorded.
